The concert will feature the following pieces: "Chariot Jubilee" by R. The Chariot Jubilee is thought to be the first ever symphonic work based solely on a spiritual. "Five Mystical Songs" by Ralph Vaughan Williams with Timothy LeFebvre, baritone soloist Vaughan Williams was inspired throughout his life by Anglican liturgy and music, the soaring architecture of its cathedrals, the English of the King James Bible and mysticism of the metaphysical poets. "Sing for the Cure: a Proclamation of Hope" Sing for the Cure is a choral collection based on true stories of breast cancer survivors. Each of the 11 songs is by a different composer that has been combined together to tell a story of bravery and love. |
